How does the AquaSplash work?
Great question! The AquaSplash bottle works by having a controlled endothermic or exothermic chemical reaction inside the walls of the bottle (so it doesn't touch the drink). This reaction either cools or heats the metal, which either cools or heats the drink inside. When the drink gets hot or cold, it doesn't heat up the outside or makes it cold so it won't bother your hands when you hold it similar to how the temperature of the outside of a Hydroflask or Swell bottle doesn't change.
How does the water stay cold/hot?
Another great question! As mentioned in the question above we are using chemicals to make your drink hot/cold. For the reaction to make the drink hot, we use Baking Soda and Calcium Chloride. For the cold reaction, we use ammonium nitrate. When we mix these chemicals with water, they have immediate reactions that heat or cool the metal which cools the drink inside. But these chemicals don't last forever so you will have to change them after a couple of hours. But don't worry... we will make them cheap and easily accessible for anyone who would like them.
Why did we create this product?
We created this product to provide an alternative to ice or heat. We felt that it would be better to buy a little packet of chemicals (almost the same chemicals as cold packs and hand warmers) than to have to keep filling it up with ice or heat it. We also have had personal experience with hot water bottles and decided that it would be best to create an all-new one that will never get too hot and be enjoyable all day.
What sizes and colors does it come in?
The AquaSplash currently comes in only one size, 32 ounces, but soon we will offer a variety of sizes. It comes in five colors; blue, red, green, yellow, and pink. The caps also come in blue and orange.
